Abstract Submissions have now closed.

Abstract submissions have closed for the Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Aerospace Technology (APISAT) 2024, Adelaide, Australia.

The outcome of abstract submissions have been emailed to all accepted oral and poster presenters*.

*All accepted oral and poster presentations must have a full paper submitted for review, to be accepted into the APISAT 2024 program.

Instructions for Preparing Your Abstract

  • Abstracts must be submitted via the eOrganiser portal. Email submissions will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Abstracts must be typed into the box/es provided within the portal. It is not necessary to upload an abstract document.
  • Please follow the word limit for the abstract. The limit is from 400 – 500 words (not including references) depending on your requested presentation format.
  • For multi-author papers, it is the responsibility of the submitting author to ensure that the submission has been approved by all authors.
  • The Local Organising Group will not be responsible for any errors published.

Submitting Your Abstract

Abstract submission is a two-step process. Please follow the instructions carefully to ensure your submission is uploaded into the eOrganiser portal correctly.

STEP 1: Create an author account
Firstly, you must create an account to upload an abstract. To begin, access the eOrganiser portal above. Click the “Create an Author Account” button and enter your contact details. These details are required to create the account. Once you have created an account within this portal you can proceed with your submissions.

STEP 2: Submitting your abstract
Once you have logged into the abstract submission portal, click the ‘Submit’ button to access the submission page. You will be required to provide the following details prior to submitting your abstract:

  • Indicate your preferred presentation type.
  • Enter your paper title in the ‘Paper Title’ box.
  • Type your abstract into the box/es provided within the portal, adhering to the word limit.
  • Add any additional emails to the email correspondence box (any email addresses entered here will be included in the correspondence emails that are sent to you).
  • Enter the name and organisation of all co-presenters and co-authors.
  • Ensure you indicate the presenting author(s) for the abstract and include a brief biography. The biography should be no more than 100 words.
  • Select the most relevant sub-theme for your abstract.
  • Answer the additional questions.

General Policies and Requirements

  • The extended abstract submission deadline is 11.59 PM AEST Thursday 27 June 2024.
  • All abstract submissions will be reviewed by the APISAT Scientific Committee. The committee may accept or reject abstracts and their decision is final. The outcome of abstract submissions will be emailed on Tuesday 16 July 2024
  • By submitting an abstract the authors agree to the General policies and requirements and the
  • Presenting authors are required to register and pay to attend the symposium by Friday 4 October 2024. Co-authors are not required to register, but co-presenters are. Presenters that remain unregistered after the deadline will have their submission removed from the program and symposium proceedings.
  • No funding or discounts are available to presenting authors.
  • Authors can submit multiple abstracts, but the organising committee reserves the right to impose a maximum limit of two presentations. If deemed appropriate by the Scientific Committee, all other abstracts may be offered as a poster.
  • Following abstract acceptance, a paper must be submitted to present orally at APISAT 2024. Delivering a poster does not require a paper submission.
  • If the abstract is selected for inclusion in the program, consent is provided for the presentation slides, video, audio recording and photos taken during the presentation to be used and published by Engineers Australia including being provided to delegates of APISAT 2024.
  • The Conference Managers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by internet services outages or other unforeseen events.

Notification of Acceptance

Notification of the outcome of Abstract submissions will be sent via email to the submitting author by 16 July 2024. Acceptance or otherwise is at the discretion of the Scientific Review Group whose decision is final. All presenting authors must register and pay to attend the Symposium.
